Canadian Rockies Public School Students: Your Chance to Join Shad 2024!
Attention, high school students of Canadian Rockies Public School (CRPS)! Are you looking to transform your summer into an unparalleled learning experience? Look no further. Shad 2024 offers Grade 10 and 11 students an unrivalled opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of STEAM and entrepreneurship, connecting with like-minded peers from across Canada and even internationally. With two exciting program options – an on-campus experience at one of 21 premier Canadian universities, including the University of Calgary, or the flexible Shad Anywhere digital experience – there's something for everyone.
Why consider Shad? The month-long July program will allow you to dive deep into lectures, workshops, and real-world design projects. You'll gain insights into campus life, learn from university professors, and high-profile STEAM and business speakers, while absorbing knowledge from local Indigenous communities. This isn't just about academics; it's about community. Shad boasts a diverse student body, with 75 per cent identifying as BIPOC, 52 per cent female, and 12 percent from the 2SLGBTQ+ community. This is a chance to grow personally, to see how passions align with post-secondary pathways and to be empowered to make positive change.
Still wondering about the impact of the Shad experience? Just ask Kiara Reain, a proud Canmore Collegiate High School student who secured her spot at Shad 2023, distinguishing herself from thousands. Participating in a month of STEAM-centric learning, she has joined the esteemed ranks of Shad alumni. Congratulations, Kiara! Your achievements are a beacon for fellow CRPS students.
So, CRPS students, it's your time to shine! Apply for Shad 2024 and set yourself on a transformative journey. Share the opportunity within your networks and stay updated by following Shad on their social platforms. Shad has been empowering the youth for over 40 years.
